The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) chooses JOVACO Project Suite

May 2009
Montreal, May 25, 2009 -  The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), of New York, have chosen the Project Suite software for their operations and project management, from JOVACO Solutions, a Montreal-based firm.

ASME is a not-for-profit organization who establishes rules and standards for the mechanical engineering industry.  One responsibility of the ASME is to release technical information through manuals and academic texts to the community, as well as maintaining and assuring that all documentation is up-to-date for all firms within the organization.  The ASME sponsors a variety of conferences, involved in several international committees and assists in certifying firms to governmental standards.

"JOVACO Project Suite will allow ASME to acquire an accounting system that will efficiently manage their projects in real-time through budget versus actual costs, flexible invoicing specially designed for professional services firms as well as to be compliant with governmental standards for resource groups and markups" explains Arthur Axelrad, Director of Business Development at JOVACO.

This important contract for JOVACO with ASME because it creates an opening into the American engineering market, an industry where JOVACO is currently very present in Quebec.  "We have finally starting to see the fruits of our labor from the past couple of years", says Jean-Claude Coutu, President of JOVACO.  "In addition to signing contracts with Canadian and American engineering firms, we are continuing to develop partnerships with other Microsoft Dynamics resellers in North America.  Despite the recession, JOVACO will be closing the year with an increase in sales.  It is extremely encouraging!" adds Coutu.
