Quebec Technology Association awards Jean-Claude Coutu

February 22, 2011 - Quebec Technology Association CEO Vision Event announces Jean-Claude Coutu, President of JOVACO Solutions Inc. as the recipient of the "Coup de Coeur" Award

Jean-Claude Coutu, CA, President and Founder of JOVACO Solutions Inc. a Microsoft Dynamics, Gold ISV Partner specialized in Project Accounting software was awarded the "Coup de Coeur" by the Quebec Technology Association in recognition of his entrepreneurial spirit that has driven him for more than 25 years as well as the inter-generational transfer of JOVACO currently underway.

Jean-Claude Coutu was honoured last weekend at the CEO Vision Event in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. This annual event hosted by Quebec Technology Association brings together hundreds of executives within the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) industry of Quebec to discuss how to expand their business's growth and to create new business opportunities. 

During the ceremony Jean-Claude Coutu reminded everyone that you must be constantly re-inventing yourself within this industry.  It is his vision and entrepreneurship within the IT industry that enabled JOVACO to remain part of the dynamic information systems industry for almost 30 years.  "We are looking to reinvent ourselves once again as our applications are now moving towards a web-based format to meet the increasing demand for a growing number of users to have access to information so that we are ready for the next evolution in management information systems" adds Coutu.

Jean-Claude Coutu mentioned that his success was primarily due to his "passion from the early beginnings within this industry and how we must always be aware of new technologies to make quick decisions based upon current realities.  This outlook has allowed us to nurture our organization for almost thirty years and it is the basis for our future growth" concludes Coutu.

Coutu commented that his next big step is the continuation of the inter-generational transition that has already begun at JOVACO as his son (Jonatan Coutu) and daughter (Valerie Coutu) have assumed executive management positions to better align JOVACO's current offering and continued expansion throughout North America.
